Per-teammate unread tracking

Big one. Until now Subportly tracked unread state per workspace — if Sasha read it, it disappeared for everyone. That was wrong for shared inboxes.

Now every teammate has their own unread state. Read it on your phone? Still unread on your laptop until you handle it. Assign a thread to someone and it shows up in their unread, not yours.

  • Per-teammate unread state across all channels
  • Mark as read / unread shortcuts (U and ⇧U)
  • Filter by “assigned to me and unread” in the master inbox

v1.3.2
Improved

Faster sync on Team plan

Team plan now polls every 60 seconds (down from 90). We rebuilt our polling fleet to use multiple OAuth apps in parallel, so we can hit Reddit harder without bumping into rate limits.

Real talk: this also keeps our Reddit API costs predictable as we scale. Win-win.

Draft & approval workflows

Brand teams asked for this for months. You can now require any reply to be approved by an admin before it goes out. Drafts queue up in a dedicated view, approvers get a notification, and there’s a full audit trail of who wrote and approved what.

  • Per-channel approval rules (e.g. require approval for DMs but not Modmail)
  • One-click approve, edit-then-approve, or reject with note
  • Approver pool by role or named teammates

v1.2.4
Fixed

Modmail thread ordering

Modmail threads were sorted by created date, not last activity, so old-but-active threads got buried. Now sorted by latest activity, like every other channel. Sorry about that.

Saved replies & macros

Type / in any reply to pull up saved replies. Each reply supports merge fields ({{user}}, {{subreddit}}, {{first_message_excerpt}}) and per-team folders. Build once, reuse everywhere.

After 6 months of private beta with 40 brand and moderation teams, we’re open. Connect a Reddit account, invite your team, and start triaging from one inbox. Thank you to every beta team that helped us figure out what this product needed to be.
